Starting with the Durban expo which won the EXSA exhibition of the year award in 2008, the expos kick off at the DEC from 19-22 March.
The expo normally held in Pretoria will then be hosted at Gallagher Estate from 28-30 May due to a fan park getting in the way of the venue at the Pretoria Show Grounds.
The flagship expo for Baba Indaba will be held in Cape Town from 23-25 July
New in 2010 is the SOWETO Baba Indaba to be held at the Johannesburg Expo Centre from 27-29 August.

The CTICC last weekend saw more pregnant women and prams than have ever been in this location before. In spite of the tough economic times that we currently face, thousands of new parents pured in to the halls to buy their prams, cots and mountains of nappies on special offer at the Baba Indaba expo. Exhibitors reported record sales in certain areas although some of the luxury items on sale did not do as well as in previous years. Huggies were forced to fly in extra stock to cope with the demand and Cuddlers nappies who once again provided the changing facilities at the expo were inundated with mom’s keeping the bums dry!
In the furniture category Hammond Kids, Treehouse, Samique and Toddlertasia all reported excellent sales…
A weekend to remember!
The feedback from visitors and exhibitors at the recently held baby expo at the Heartfelt arena was that although the expo confirmed the visitor demand for a baby expo, the venue was not ideally situated for an expo of this nature. Until such time as a suitable venue becomes available, the organisers have decided not to confirm Pretoria dates for 2009

The organisers of the Baba Indaba baby expos have taken the step and launched the first baby show in Pretoria from 27 - 29 June 2008. Recognising the fact that Pretoria visitors do not all want to travel to the north of Johannesburg in order to attend such an event and that the Pretoria market, although smaller than the greater Johannesburg market occupies a very special niche. The expo is to be held at the Heartfelt Arena in the South of Pretoria giving very easy access to most suburbs.
The exhibitors have been very enthusiastic about going to Pretoria for the first time and the show director Natalie Naude is expecting a bumper crowd. Pregnant moms-to-be and new parents will not want to miss this one.
Once again Babies-R-Us will be retailing at the expo with great show specials. The Baby Company will also be at the expo with their retail offerings as well as hosting the “Speakers Corner” at which lectures will be held on various important topics for the new parent.
Tickets will be sold at the door at R40.00 per adult. Children enter free. Grandparents will be allowed free entry on Friday.
